So I noticed that you can change usernames.

People who watch me regularly will have noticed that the character Jigoku Inu hasn't been seen in quite some time. Aeden has been my main identity for going on a year and a half now. Mainly I hadn't created a new account or something up to this point because it would just be too much hassle.

It's interesting to think about, I started drawing and writing about Inu eight years ago. She went from just something I used in writing projects with friends, to developing her own life. From there the rest of a world appeared around her, complete with wildly varied population. I have scores of pages written about that place, and I still add to it occasionally. It's fun to go back and visit.

Before Inu, I had several other me-characters, but none of them had any real staying power. They changed and adapted depending on what I felt like doing with them that day and what books I'd read recently that gave me new ideas. At eight years, Inu stuck around the longest. I was pretty convinced she would be the last one and that I'd never have a need to switch. Of course it doesn't work that way

Inu led to Aeden. She's sort of a facet of him, and in a way they're the same person. People who pay attention will note they have very similar personalities and appearances. There is a semi-elaborate story there.

Anyway, the end of an era, as it were
